# Is it possible to duplicate sections?

Hi, I’m new to asana and working in vfx field.  
i wonder if it is possible to duplicate a section with task and rename a section.  
why do i need it is, we generally have 100 to 300 task per project. And each task has multiple sub-tasks.  
For instance:

**R&D** (section):  
cg001(task)  
cg002  
cg003  
.  
.  
.  
.  
cg0300

(new section,i have to type 300 times again)  
**Modeling** (section):  
cg001  
cg002  
cg003  
.  
.  
.  
.  
cg0300

Is there a smart way to solve this ?

That’s not possible at the moment, but if you haven’t yet, I’d recommend casting your vote in [Ability to copy sections including all tasks in that section](https://forum.asana.com/t/ability-to-copy-sections-including-all-tasks-in-that-section/2918) 🙂

This feature will be really helpful,and I’m hoping for task thumbnail feature too.
