Is it possible to create Contacts within Asana either at a Corporate Level or at a Project Level?

Hi there,
I am wanting to create a sharable contact list within Asana that can be referenced within a task. Ideally the contact list could be shared with a Team or with a Project. For example an Event Planning Company could have a list of Vendors they deal with on a regular basis. A task might be to contact the rental company to secure tables & chairs for an event. It would be great to be able to somehow reference the rental company so whoever has to do the task could click on the rental company name and have access to all the contact information. This would save time to have to find the contact information on some other system.
Thanks
Tony

Welcome, @Tony_Juays1,

One way is to create a project “Contacts” in a team that all your org has access to (all are members of the team)–perhaps a team called “All Staff”.

In the project Contacts, optionally create sections if you like to group the vendors/contacts, perhaps by services.

Add one task for each contact/vendor in the appropriate section where the task title is the name of the vendor, say ABC Vendor. In its description, place all the contact details (phone, email, website, etc.)

In any task in any project, you can then “@mention” the vendor by typing in the task’s description “@ABC Vendor” which will start to autocomplete as you type. That will then become a clickable link to navigate you to the vendor details.

Thanks Larry for your suggestion, so just to confirm the contact information would be freeform within the task description?
Thanks

The Description field has a good rich text editor so you can set it up however you want (and you could consider creating one or more Task Templates in that Contacts project to ensure consistency. Here’s a partial example:
