If they’re left there, the tasks are all overdue but I don’t want to remove the section as it will be valid in the future. I also don’t want to change all the dates because the relationship of one to another works. Any good ideas?
It depends on what your specific needs are, but perhaps one or more of:
- collapse the section and Save view to remember that for all
- update the section title to prefix with [On hold]
- drag the section to the bottom
Hope that helps,
Larry
Hi Larry,
I appreciate your thoughts. Those options will take the section out of immediat view but the dates remain and show up as overdue. I guess I’m looking for a solution/workaround that will put the section on hold or change the dates of the entire section to a later time. Like a function that allows to change the dates of a selected group of tasks to “date+60 days”, for example.
In Timeline or Gantt view, you can multi-select all the tasks in the section and then drag any one of them to the right (by 60 days) and all will move relatively.
If you were to use dependencies among tasks, you could update dates relatively with the date dialog for a task in the dependency chain.
You can see Asana help for more on both of the above.
And you might want to add a Product Feedback request, and vote for it, for your specific request.
Thanks,
Larry
