Integrate (Mac) Mail and Asana tasks

If Asana integrated with Mac Mail (like it now does with Outlook), it would be AMAZING.

I don’t use Outlook, but I just got the announcement from Asana that it now can turn emails into tasks. This made me extremely jealous.

I use the Mail program that comes with my Mac. Can that be integrated? Please please please?

Hi @Sally_Lee, while it’s not an integration quite to the level of Outlook and Gmail, have you experimented at all with Asana’s “Add Tasks via Email” feature? That way, you can just forward emails to a special Asana Email address, which will automatically create tasks for you.

WHOA!

I didn’t know that!

I’m going to try that out soon.

Thank you!

AMEN - but I’m wondering, does OS X Mail even allow integrations? For now, the lack of an integration has forced me out of OS X Mail and into the Gmail Browser-based app. It’s like a nunchuck to the face to use Gmail that way, and the integration isn’t super great itself (the outlook integration is MUCH better) but working an inbox without asana is “like going in with one boot off.”

It’s possible to make one, but no, not officially:

Mailbutler is integrated into Mac / Apple Mail.
