In Slack allow searching by permalink (URL), when adding message as task comment

Hi Everyone,

I would like to provide my feedback towards Asana & Slack integration:

I have noticed that users are unable to search task by its URL (permalink).

The current behaviour forces me to type the task name. Sometimes this does not bother me much, but the challenge occurs when I would like to look for a reoccurring task:

  • In the dropdown, you don’t see any other parameters apart from seeing that the task is completed or not.

As I’m very custom to copy permalink from Asana and use it inside the tool, I would like to have identical opportunity with the very important add-on.

Such solution would simplify my workflow and would limit the number of errors.

While this feature isn’t available at this time, hopefully it’s something our Product team can implement in the future.
