I should be able to @ mention someone and then backspace to remove their surname. It’s odd and impersonal that I message my colleague who I’ve been working on for 6 years; “thanks @ Joe Stenogorofugus Jnr. i appreciate your work on this. @ Melanie Johnston and I will be in touch with next steps.”
