I have a different communities with different projects. How do I get alerts for only tasks that over due? I want to know if there’s a function/rule I can create that will help me with function. I have about 8 projects about to roll out more.

You can tweak your alerts here: Profile picture > Settings > Notifications. to mute the notifications you don’t want. You’ll need to click Manage individual projects to change settings for current projects.
There are no default overdue notifications but you can create a rule in My tasks that is triggered by Task is overdue.
Note that this rule trigger only becomes available by selecting Runs on tasks at the right top.
