I have a section for tasks that I alwasy want to complete on Sundays and they are always assigned to me. Is there a rule I can set up so that Asana automatically assigns task and due date when I create the task?

Are there any section rules I can add that would take care of this?

Hi @john135 , welcome to the forum :waving_hand:
There isn’t currently a rule to set the due date to a particular day. But you could set weekly recurring tasks that are due every Sunday, for example.

In your case, you could perhaps create a recurring task, due every Sunday, for you to check the tasks in your ‘Do on Sunday’ section?

Thanks Richard, in this case the tasks vary week to week, but they are of a certain grouping that I always want to do weekly.

Perhaps sub tasks are the way to go under a "Do on “Sunday” recurring task?

@john135,

If you’re on any paid plan of Asana, you could create a single-select custom field with a single value: Do Sunday. Make sure these tasks are created with that value set. Add a rule in your My Tasks to move new tasks added with that value to your section.

Thanks,

Larry
