The projects were created open for everybody but I cannot anymore access it and ASANA is asking me to upgrade the account. Can somebody help me how to recover access to project without upgrading? Thank you!
Hi @DanceToEvOLvE, welcome to the community and sorry for the inconvenience.
One reason I can think of is that there are paid or upgrade-required features in the project, or if the privacy settings have been changed. Also, check if your account has exceeded the seat limit.
The usual fix is not to upgrade your personal account right away, but to restore the project access or adjust the plan/team limits that are blocking you.

I wanted to change the privacy setting but it is now allowing me to. As per the seat, it is up to date with 8 people only. The project was set to board and list format. That is all. No other features used.
How do we revert and gain access again to the project with this? Thank you!
Can you share the initial or current errors or messages that Asana is showing you in these circumstances?
Have you tried to reach either Support or Sales?

Thanks, @DanceToEvOLvE. @Irish_Makimura would know best, but it seems like you are possibly using upgraded features beyond your plan level. If you did a trial, I believe Sales (Contact our Sales Team • Asana) can extend the trial so you can temporarily have access to remove those features used so that when you revert, you will maintain access to those projects, so long as you removed all the upgraded features.

@DanceToEvOLvE , the features that you used may have been certain custom fields that are not available on Starter plans, such as Formulas and Time tracking fields. Do you recall using those in that project?
I created the project and there was nothing like that used.
