I have a chart on my dashboard that shows an average of time to complete a task. I’d like to identify the tasks that took longer to complete. How can i show, per task, how long a task has taken to complete?
Create a custom field like this:
then make sure it’s showing in your view with Hide/Show fields, or perhaps add a new tab for it. You can set the sum at the bottom of columns in list view to show the average not sum if you prefer.
Thanks,
Larry
Is your field built in a similar way that Larry suggested?
Clicking on the number chat itself will take you to task list, showing all the time values.
Is there any value, over which you’d like to see the per task results?
Thanks Ipb, i’ve got that setup now. My only issue now is that i only want it to include main tasks, not subtasks. Does the time to complete chart just account for main tasks? If i look at the list view, i can see that if i hover my mouse over the double up arrow, it shows the main+subtasks next to the main task.
The time to complete chart by default shows tasks and first level subtasks, I believe, bu you can add a filter there to change that.
You can’t alter the behavior of the List column display though.
Thanks,
Larry
