How to remove AI Suggested column in a project

Hi I have created a new project. There is an AI suggested column which I do not want - and it shows pre-filled in entries such as Not started, in progress, reviewed etc. which are inaccurate.

There are options if I click the drop down including ‘add recommended field’, ‘discard recommended field’ and ‘Add field and fill values’ non of which let me remove the column.

Can anyone advise on getting rid of it?

I would expect “discard recommended field” to work as intended, if not, that could be a bug (try to refresh?). :person_shrugging:

If the field is already created, you can remove it as followed

As a remark, when creating the project, you can uncheck that box

This is what I see - the Discard recommended field doesn’t do anything and there is no remove field from project option.

I believe that looks like a big, as the “Discard recommended field” should do as expected.

Could you try to maybe add the field, and then remove it?


If I add the field it will create the suggested column, but then the AI suggestion is still there. If I remove the added column the suggestion remains as well.

@Theo_N If you have access to the admin console, I think turning off Proactive AI will do the trick.

I’ve seen this before, though a while ago, and Discard did not in fact discard it; I would consider it a bug.
