I have a collection of projects in a portfolio that were originally created using a template project, but over time some of them have had custom fields and custom rules added to them.
I was looking for a way to perform an audit on each of these projects so that I can get them all up to the same standard. I can access the list of custom fields for each project, but I haven’t been able to build a list of rules for each project.
Is there some form of roadmap for enhancements to the API ? If so, can someone please share it so that we can get an idea if/when new features are likely to become available.
Hi,
Yes, unfortunately, you can’t audit it via API to my knowledge . However, if you’re on an Enterprise plan, you can audit it visually using the organisation rules library. There’s an organisation custom fields library as well. This feature isn’t available on lower plans.
So, for now, you can do it manually, upgrade to a higher Asana plan, or wait for API enhancement. Sorry, don’t know when the Rules API will be enriched.
Hi @Steve_Court and welcome to the community! Thanks for sharing this use case.
This gap in API rule visibility and management capabilities is well recognized, and we’re excited to see things moving in that direction internally as these use cases become more common.
That said, we don’t have any commitments or roadmap details to share yet in that area.
