How do you lock task assignees to only show a list of people in that project?

Hi There -

I was wondering if there is a way only to show possible task assignees that are members of that project. Currently, we have several private projects, but when I go to assign tasks I can assign them to anyone in the organization and any guests that have been added to our organization even if they are not a member of that project.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi @Ashani_Gottlieb & welcome to the forum

I’m afraid there is no way to show only the individuals belonging to a project in the assignee field because, in Asana, anyone can be assigned to a task regardless of their permissions in the project itself.

I could see how this could be helpful and something nice to be added to the project settings. I would upvote this feature here: Assignee field should only show only project or team members and leave feedback on this thread for your specific use case.
