How do I use the same list in two custom fields in the same project?

Hi, is it possible to duplicate a custom field in the same project? I want the same list in two adjacent different fields. I have tried to make it public, but it can only be used in another project.

You can but they will have to be named differently.

May I ask what the use case is?

Sure. They are people’s name on a project. One field is expressions of interest in a particular task; the other is the assigning of people. This methods works better than adding collaborators as it is more visual in list view, and sortable.
