I think that the best way of having people on board is to prove it by an example.
Take a project that is difficult to follow by the members and that is high priority for the management, convert any follow-up, meeting notes, or report into Asana task, and start managing it using the platform. It will not take long time before people will look into your screen (because it is so colorful) and will appreciate that you can follow all tasks, action items, and can easily recall the last discussion or decision (because you will have everything captured in comment in the task).
