I set up a Device Request Workflow Automation project in Asana that manages our entire device loan lifecycle—from the moment a staff member submits a request through review, approval, device pickup, and return.
The request form is available through a dedicated Teams channel, where staff can submit device requests and follow related updates throughout the process.
I created a Timeline tab which shows when the devices are in use but I hit a roadblock when trying to integrate that tab into that Teams Channel.
Although the calendar link can be added to Teams as a website tab, users are required to log in to Asana to access it.
In addition, it also grants access to the entire Asana project, rather than limiting users to the calendar view alone.
How can I solve this?
My goal is to give staff a quick “view” of device availability in that specific Teams channel so they can avoid conflicts and submit a request using the form
Thanks! I checked the read-only links out, and while it does display the calendar showing when devices are in use, it also shares the entire project, whereas I only want to share that single tab within the project. I can also see options to “join, edit, comment, and stay updated,” along with a link back to Asana, which makes me a bit hesitant to share it with staff—even if they don’t actually have access to the project itself! I will keep looking…
