I agree, this addition to filter subtasks would be highly useful.

Hiding completed subtasks would GREATLY increase efficiency for everyone - and would allow for the expansion of subtask use without it getting so overwhelming!

Hello everyone! First, I’m genuinely sorry we haven’t met your expectations on this feature request. I’m a Group PM Leader who has newly owned our core project management features. In the upcoming quarters we are committed to investing in improving the experience around subtasks overall - including the ability to hide completed subtasks. While not every comment or thread gets a response, my team reads every comment. Quotes from this thread were even included in our current roadmapping review process. We don’t take you all for granted and I personally really appreciate how you all help us shape our roadmaps! More updates to come

I can feel the pain that everyone is having as an Asana user.
For me, not having the option to hide the completed sub-tasks makes it so annoying for tasks that I need to do on a weekly/monthly basis. Technically, I don’t think it would be that hard for you to make it happen. Hopefully this feature will soon be released.
@Yen_Vo you’re correct that it’s not that complicated, but the team is currently holistically addressing subtask improvements first. This is in our roadmap! We’re currently rethinking our task pane and very much look forward to being able to deliver this feature

Any update on this? Looks like it’s been a request for many years! Simply moving completed subtasks to the bottom of the list would be a complete game-changer. I’m just starting out with Asana and this issue is putting me off sticking with it.

@Simon_Davies2 improving the subtask section on the task pane is what is currently top of mind for me in roadmap planning for our upcoming half so yes, we’re actively thinking about this! But no concrete update yet

Hello! Is there any update on this request? We would love to have this feature available early next year. It would really help us stay organized when viewing subtasks. Right now, manually moving completed subtasks to the bottom of the list is quite a hassle!

@Ciara_Sabud this has moved into scoping and design! Which probably constitutes “In development” but I’ll wait until we’re done with our current roadmap planning to ratify.

This has made it to being a roadmap commit! 
It’s either Q1 or Q2 (Feb 1 to July 31) but thank you all for helping us getting it prioritized with your detailed feedback
