1. Are there Task statuses in Asana? We use Project Sections for statuses in Board view and I’m not sure that it is correct. 2. Can I have a subtask visible in my project view while still being a subtask? ---

There isn’t a ‘correct’ way to do this. You can use _Sections_, you can use [Custom Fields](https://help.asana.com/hc/en-us/articles/14110099577883-Custom-fields). Go into the subtask and add it to your project using the shortcut _[tab]+[p]_ Assuming this solves your request I’ve marked it as the solution. ---
