Form submission directly into an existing task

This would be a game changer for us too, as tasks are created during the planning stages when we don’t have all the info. Once a task is ready to be executed, we would love for that person to be able to submit an intake form with all of the information needed to execute on the task and for that info from the form to populate into the existing task.

Hello,
We have a project that requires two forms. the project’s main form will be for the intake of customers, after there will be a variety of subtasks one of which needs to be a form that is filled out by our service techs. Is there a way to have the form once filled out become a subtask of the initial task generated by the intake customer form or a way to embed the form as a subtask

Hi, any update on this? Would love to move form results into a subtask. Cheers! : )

Is this feature still not available? I want to create a task automatically when a new Hubspot deal is created, and then I would want to send an automatic request via a Form for someone to provide information

We’d really benefit from this workflow too! Hopefully it’s on Asana’s radar!

I am new to the Asana Forum and I was searching to see if someone had identified a need to use a form for structured task/subtask feed back and not just task creation. I happily found this thread with 3.3K views. The idea dates back to 8-2020 and has been updated in a continuous feedback string through 12-2025. The feature that would 10x the usefulness of forms is described in the feedback of this thread. Essentially, a new form type would allow: data collection using an emailed form to a user with information needed for a task. To leverage the inherent nature of forms as task generators, the requested form type would create a subtask within a task that contains the content of the form. Use cases include: 1) A task requires feedback from multiple constituents. Rather than creating and assigning subtasks - send a form link to the constituents and have the form create a subtask upon submission. 2) Task information that contains confidential data need not be shared in order to gather feedback. 3) Structured replies are preferred. A form can enforce the feedback content for a task. The benefits are many and the foundational framework is already evident. Please consider a wider vote to put this on a implementation path. Thank you!
