Food for thought: decision fatigue at work

Happy Friday, everyone! I was cruising around Wavelength and found an article that resonated with me. I think it might resonate with you, too! It was written by Asana’s co-founder, Dustin Moskovitz and it is called, “Just pick something! (avoiding decision fatigue at work).” I find myself talking about decision fatigue a lot because I struggle with it a lot! Everything from “Which task do I do first?” to “What should I eat for dinner?”

The most valuable takeaway I have from this article is, “When two options have similar expected values, don’t sweat them, because it doesn’t matter which you choose” and the chart that proceeds this quote (below).

Take a look at the article and let us know what you think! Do you struggle with decision fatigue and how do you overcome it?
