Would love to see the option to schedule a fixed date in a project template. Right now they’re limited to relative dates. Our teams could then add fixed date milestones or tasks to projects, like holidays and other company time off, that rely on fixed dates.
My PMO uses a custom task type for holidays and other company time off to visualize when everyone will be off work*. This helps the Project Managers and team schedule around those dates without memorizing the company calendar.
However, unfortunately, we can’t prepare this at the project template since they only offer relative due dates. If fixed due dates are added to project templates, then users can add these holidays and other company time off to project templates so they’re automatically present.
*The custom task type is open prior to the holiday date (due date) and then automatically closes after the date passes.
