# First timer, setting up Teams, getting blocked

When trying to add teams, I get an error stating I cannot use a personal email. I only have one email and I am just using it as a single user task manager.

Welcome, @David_Whalen,

Can you upload a video or screenshots (protecting private info) to show exactly what you’re doing and the exact error you receive?

Barring that, I can think of a couple of things to check:

When you set up your Asana instance, if you did so logged in with an email address like [gmail.com](http://gmail.com) or [hotmail.com](http://hotmail.com), or similar, then you would have set up an Asana “Workspace” which does not support Teams at all. (If you used an email address like [my-company.com](http://my-company.com), then you would have an Asana “Organization” which _does_ support teams.)
