At this moment it isn’t possible to filter on ‘tags’ in the ‘board’ and see the results in the ‘board’. You can only see the filter results on ‘tags’ in agenda-view of task-view. That would be a great new feature.
Beside that, I would like place ‘the board-view’ first in the ‘headerlist’. At this moment it is always the ‘list-view’ that is first shown.

Yes you can’t change that (and I bet you never will, that would create inconsistencies, with the buttons being in different places depending on who set up the project).
There is an existing thread you can contribute to More filters in the board view (users, custom fields ...) like in list view?
