Hey community,
The task pane inside Asana is great, but itโs very rigid. Currently, the order of information is always the same: Title โ Assignee/Due Date โ Projects/Custom Fields โ Description โ Subtasks โ Integrations (like Google Drive).
However, depending on the project, this layout isnโt ideal.
For example, I have projects where a specific Google Drive document is the most important piece of the puzzle. I would love to be able to drag the Google Drive integration block and place it right at the top (right under the due date), so team members donโt have to scroll past custom fields and descriptions to find it.
In other projects, maybe the Description or Subtasks are the priority, and custom fields could be pushed to the bottom.
What Iโm proposing:
The ability to customize the layout/hierarchy of the task pane. It would be amazing if we could rearrange these sections (Description, Subtasks, Integrations, Custom Fields) or save a custom task layout template per project.
Having this flexibility would be a massive UX win for teams with diverse workflows. What do you guys think?
