Feature Request: Dynamic Annual Date Rules

It would be valuable to support dynamic date rules for recurring annual processes, removing the need to manually update automation rules every year. I am aware this can be done manually, but it would be really useful if this type of dynamic date changing could be a feature.

Example use case 1: New tasks
In a Vendor Review System, new vendors are assigned a performance review quarter when they are onboarded:

  • Q1 → 1 January
  • Q2 → 1 April
  • Q3 → 1 July
  • Q4 → 1 October

Instead of hardcoding the year (e.g. 2027), the automation should assign the date using the current or next review year. For example, once the calendar rolls over, new tasks would automatically receive:

  • Q1 → 1 January 2028
  • Q2 → 1 April 2028
  • Q3 → 1 July 2028
  • Q4 → 1 October 2028

This would eliminate the need to update automation rules annually.

Example use case 2: Existing recurring reviews
For existing vendor review tasks, it would be useful to automatically roll the due date forward by one year when the review is marked complete. For example:

  • Due date: 1 January 2027
  • Task marked complete
  • Due date automatically updates to 1 January 2028 (or a new recurring task is created with that due date)

This would support annual review cycles without requiring manual date updates, reducing administration and ensuring recurring reviews remain on schedule.
