👉 Feature Request: AI Smart Scheduling & True 2-Way Google Calendar Sync

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

With all the great updates happening with Asana Intelligence (AI), there is one major blind spot that is keeping it from being perfect: It doesn’t know when we are in meetings.

Currently, I have several meetings scattered throughout my week in Google Calendar. If I want Asana to help organize my day or auto-schedule my tasks, it fails because it’s completely blind to my actual schedule. It will suggest or schedule heavy tasks right in the middle of a 2-hour client call.

Here are two features that would completely change the game for time management in Asana:

1. AI Smart Scheduling (Time-Blocking)
It would be amazing if Asana AI could connect directly to Google Calendar (and respect our predefined working hours). Instead of just assigning dates, the AI could organize our work blocks. Imagine Asana finding the “white space” in your calendar and automatically scheduling tasks in your available slots, or even grouping similar tasks together so you can focus on deep work!

2. True 2-Way Real-Time Sync
To make the AI scheduling work perfectly, we desperately need a true bidirectional integration with Google Calendar.
Right now, the sync is very disconnected. Asana should be able to read my calendar and automatically create a task (or maybe a new dedicated entity, like a “Meeting” item). If a client reschedules and I move the event to 3 PM in Google Calendar, it should update instantly in Asana. If I drag it in Asana, it updates Google Calendar. Real-time, two-way sync.

Who else relies heavily on Google Calendar and wishes Asana AI was smart enough to time-block your tasks around your actual meetings? Let’s get this voted up! :spiral_calendar::sparkles:
