We would love to begin using ASANA as our internal ticketing software, however we need to be able to communicate with our other staff who don’t have Asana.
We want to be able to comment in the Asana thread and ask the customer questions about the task our Support team needs to do, and we want the customer to be able to respond by email and it appears in our Asana task’s comments.
How can we do this without having them create an Asana account?

At this time, it is not possible to collaborate in Asana with those who do not have an Asana account. I will keep you posted if anything changes here

Is this true Rebecca? It seems to contradict the Asana Guide, which indoicates that the Guest feature is exactly what Allison is looking for:

Guests still have an Asana account. Allison is looking for
the customer to be able to respond by email and it appears in our Asana task’s comments
from people who don’t have an Asana account.
(There used to be an integration that could do what Allison is asking for, but alas it’s defunct.)
