emails for whole organization won't come through

We are trying to set up our organization, but none of the Asana emails to our new domain come through. They aren’t in spam, the email addresses are working, and Asana emails do arrive that are sent to other domain addresses.
There isn’t yet an active website associated with the organization domain that we are using. Might that be the trouble? Does the domain that we use for our organization need to have an active website? I can’t think of any other way this is different than the other times we’ve set up organizations in Asana. We do get the emails for the domain even though the site isn’t set up yet.
