Do Guests have access to the Files tab and all files?

  1. I have a task that has no Collaborators. I link a file.
  2. A Guest uses Asana, clicks the Files menu.
  3. Will they be able to see that file?

Use case in our use of Asana is that everybody can see files. I don’t like using Overview>Key Resources because it does not have an intuitive location, the file names are truncated, there is no folder structure, and it can become an unusable mess.

I prefer using Files because the Files menu is an intuitive place to find files, the file names are much less truncated, and you can organize the files by related tasks.

Just want to check how viewing Files relates to Guest permissions to the Tasks the Files are attached to…

Yes, Guests have access to the files in the files tab if they have access to the project.
