For organizations that don’t grant users admin rights on their Macs, the Asana update helper tool is a frequent pain point for both end users and IT admins. The helper repeatedly prompts users for admin credentials they don’t have, and there’s no way for them to dismiss it permanently or complete the update.
I’d love to see an option to disable auto-updates and the update helper through an MDM configuration profile, similar to what Slack, Claude, and VS Code already offer. This would eliminate prompts that users can’t act on, while letting IT admins keep Asana up to date through their MDM tool instead.
