I got a question from the top management in our institute regarding how much our data is safe from loss, and for how long it is there (retention policy os asana)

Asana offers unlimited file storage (100MB per file). It stores data forever.
For bigger files, try using cloud storage of some kind (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box
