I created a project with a specific dashboard based on milestones and saved the project as a template. When I create a project from this template the dashboard in this project uses the tasks instead of milestones. How can I debug this behavior?

**Browser version** : Microsoft Edge Version 114.0.1823.67 (Official build) (64-bit)

**What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)**? Enterprise

Hi @Thomas_Roos , this is actually the current expected behaviour. Unfortunately, Templates v2 do not support customised dashboards so that they could be retained in the projects that are created from such templates.

A workaround, although not ideal, would be to just duplicate your project instead. That way, your Dashboard would be intact, as long as you select the appropriate checkmark during the duplication process.

For an extensive list of what is and not available with Template v2, you can refer to this article:

> Hi, Templates V2 have been [recently introduced](https://forum.asana.com/t/say-hello-to-project-templates-2-0/160152/92) but things are getting more serious: in late May/early June [Asana will start force-migrating templates V1 to V2](https://forum.asana.com/t/a-new-api-for-project-templates/156432/12). As consultants helping clients on a daily basis, it was important for us to understand what V2 actually brings, but more importantly what will be lost when the migration is forced upon us! gift Everything that V2 offers that V1 did not have Tasks assigned in project templates will no longer show in the assignee’s My Tasks. Due date…
