Custom Fields in Subtasks!

Hello. I’ve seen some topics around that, but I couldn’t find an answer. Here, you can see two different subtasks with different views. In one task, we don’t have the fields section, but we need that. Do you know why is that?

Best,
/E

Hi @Emre_E,

The feature where subtasks inherit the custom fields of their parent task’s project(s) only applies to the first level of subtasks (as in your top example), not to subtask levels below the first one (your bottom subtask is two levels down).

In order to get the project’s custom fields on the bottom subtask, you’d need to explicitly add that subtask to the project. (But of course that has its own side-effects, most notably that it will cause the subtask to display in the project’s view along with the top-level project tasks.)
