💡 Tip: When posting a question in the Asana Forum, please try to include:

1. **What you’re trying to do:** I have a field at portfolio level “Next Milestone” and “Next Milestone Date”. I would like this to be auto-populated based on the Milestone within individual projects.
2. What you’ve tried so far: Created a new field and have looked at automation. However not clear what best rules can be defined.

Welcome, @tf_amzn,

You’ll be happy to know this is already built in, and much simpler.

To show the field, click Options \> Show/Hide columns \> Toggle on Milestone progress.

No idea why this isn’t the default in Asana!

I think the current maximum number of milestones is 22; make sure the column is wide enough to display them all.

Green checked diamond means completed, Clear diamond means incomplete and not overdue or no date, and Red means incomplete and overdue.

Thanks,

Larry

I agree this should be added by default, @Larry_Berger_lpb.
However, I’m happy to see that the pesky Asana-created Priority field is no longer added by default - good riddance! 😅

Agree; it’s great that Priority is finally gone.

But don’t get me started with Portfolio \> Options \> Show/Hide columns. The default ordering and toggle state of fields seems random at times, to me at least. What would be the rationale for keeping “Status” and “Status Preview” nowhere near each other?

Not to mention the sorting choice for undated milestones in the Milestone progress cells. Please vote for:

Thanks, this was indeed a really good suggestion and useful. Dont need to re-engineer it.
I was however, looking at simpler solution i.e. simple date and title of milestone but this solution does provide overall view in concise format.
