Create tasks for non-Asana users

I’m very new to Asana, so just getting my head around it. Sorry if this is a stupid question!

What’s the best way to represent tasks for third parties, who aren’t on Asana?

We are often waiting for clients to give feedback, or for subcontractors to complete a piece of work, before we can proceed.
These clients/third parties aren’t on Asana, so it looks like we can’t assign a task to them - but we need to represent that in our workflow/timeline.

@Jon_King, You’re correct re:

… so they won’t be getting any email notification as mentioned above unless you invite them and they subsequently log in and become an Asana user.

See the following, including that entire thread, and other posts in the forum for other strategies like tagging or custom fields to indicate thrid-party assignment, but using the assignee field as below seems the best to me:
