Could timeline view of a task show dependencies to tasks external to current project?

Hi there,

Right now, I have a handful of tasks that are dependent on one or more tasks in other projects. Though the dependency shows in the main task view, it doesn’t show in the timeline view. This would be super helpful - given that task dependencies don’t control start/end dates and duration.

I am hopeful that one day dependencies in Asana will became even more useful (e.g. dates will change automatically per dependencies as is seen in other software like Microsoft Project and Easy Projects - and technically excel, but that has it’s downsides) per here:

• Automatically push back dependent task dates
• Timeline templates that include dependencies that shift based on project start date
• Adding time length to tasks (for Timeline)
• Flowsana
• Instagantt

I can definitely see why this would be useful to you! I don’t believe it is in our near term plans, but I’ll make sure to keep you posted as soon as I have an update on my end!
