When a job is complete there is a tick box to indicate it.
A tick in other apps means that editing is complete rather than the actual task. Is there a convention on this?
A tick in Asana has always meant the task was complete. This is the convention for tasks in my opinion.
I think you’re right – it’s the Outlook app that is going against convention and caused the habit of ticking to finish editing on a diary entry.
However I can totally relate, a client of mine last week was using the “check” button to mark that he was done editing. It might be confusing to some people that the tool “saves automatically”.
