Completed recurring task doesn't remember subtask status

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
I’ve completed a task that’s set to recur. When I go into the new task that’s created afterwards the completed subtasks weren’t displaying as completed anymore and I had to mark them as completed again.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In a recurring task create subtasks
  2. Mark some subtasks as Completed
  3. Mark recurring task as completed
  4. Check in new recurring tasks whether the subtasks were still marked Complete or not

Sorry for the confusion here. This not a Bug but actually the expected behaviour.
When you set a Task to repeat, all fields (except task comments) including subtasks are copied over. Reason why in the new Recurring Task all subtask’s status will be “incomplete” again.

You can read more about Recurring Tasks in this handy Guide article:

I hope this helps but please let me know if you have any follow-up question!

Ahh I misunderstood. I thought the subtasks will be copied over but didn’t think the completed tasks will be incomplete again. Thanks for clarifying.
