Is there a way to transfer project owner from a removed user to current user?

You should be able to reassign the project ownership following these steps:
- Go to the Project you want to take action
- Navigate to the project’s progress view
- Click the current project owner’s profile photo, enter another project member’s name and select them in the typeahead that appears

Looks like you might have comment-only permission for this project.
In this case I would recommend you to reach out to our Support team who should be able to manually change this for you. When you contact them, please make sure to provide them the URL of the project.
