# change field type

Hi! Is it possible to change the field type after creating a custom field?

Hello @Shiona, that is not possible I am afraid.

However here is an existing feedback request thread:

OK, thanks! I think I’l just create a new field and delete the old one, because it’s brand new and no data is attached to it yet. It seems like the simplest option for my situation.
