Bulk unassign in My tasks

I was trying to bulk-unassign myself from work in My Tasks, and found it wasn’t straightforward.

The Assignee field isn’t available in My tasks, which makes perfect sense as that’s part of the definition of My tasks.

If I bulk-select tasks however, I can change the assignee, but not clear it.

The workaround I found was to create a manual rule trigger for this.

It feels I should just be able to un-assign myself though.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and found how to do it. If you bulk select tasks and click on the “reassign these tasks” button, instead of choosing another person, press Esc. After that, an “X” will appear next to your name, allowing you to unassign the tasks from yourself.

I tried that, but that didn’t seem to work for me somehow, as my name didn’t show up.
