I recently switched from Everhour to Asana for time-tracking and budgets. I absolutely love how well the time-tracking integrates with the project dashboard – this is something I was missing with Everhour. However, I don’t feel that Asana’s time-tracking and budgeting makes it intuitive as a business owner to set a member’s cost at the global level to easily track profit margins across projects. Am I missing something, or is Asana missing something?
I agree — as far as I know, the hourly cost rate can currently only be set at the project level (Project budget settings), rather than globally for each team member. A global rate per user that automatically applies across projects would definitely make profitability tracking much easier.
