Best Setup for Our Needs

We are a small CPA office and have been using Asana for about three months. We are getting ready to go into our first tax season using Asana and I fear we have set it up poorly and need to restructure. I was hoping to get some insight on the best way to set up for our needs.

We are an office of five and we have clients that use us for business and/or personal tax needs. We have the same workflow for every client. Right now we have every client set up as their own portfolio. Within each portfolio we have a project, ‘2024 Personal Tax Return’ that has a list of tasks we will need to do. Is this the proper way to have this set up? Or should the portfolio be ‘2024 Personal Tax Returns’ and then within that portfolio have each client set as a project? Thoughts?

Probably that would be the better approach, because your current approach sounds like you only have one project in each portfolio which is not very useful.

I and other Asana Partners help client organizations with needs like this, but it’s tax season soon so perhaps better to consider for the following tax year.

Thanks,

Larry
