“automated process” is pretty general so hard to know exactly what you want, but Asana has an existing “Convert task to project” rule action; will that meet your needs?

I use the tool to manually convert tasks to projects every day. I receive project requests into Asana (via the email to task functionality), and then as I accept requests I manually convert them to projects, so that is great.
There are some requests (tasks) that I know should always become projects. So my thinking is that Asana could essentially have rules (i.e. Outlook) that will run automatically. For example, if task X is a member of Project 1, then do these steps: convert it to a project automatically, add these tasks to it, assign tasks to person 1, set due date as today, etc.
I’m just wondering if you can set up rules to automate the conversion from task to project… make better sense?
