I created a project template that has a section for assigning users to project roles while in the process of creating the project. However, some of those tasks are going to be for external users. When I try to add external users that don’t exist yet in our environment it won’t let me add them. How do other people go about this so we don’t have to manually assign tasks to external users whenever we create a project

There currently is no way to setup project roles or automate the assigning of users that do not exist in the Asana space yet. This would need to be done manually once the project has been launched.
I figurex out a workaround @Alex_Christensen . I decided to create a portfolio, add the customers to that portfolio and then generate the project from a template. This lets me accomplish exactly what I need so we don’t have to tediously add everyone later
