Woo! After a long wait. We now have access to 1-seat plans in Asana! Thank you all at Asana. I wish I didn’t need to wait 20 days. They haven’t made it that easy. I have to wait for the next billing cycle before the 1-seat plan is established, then I’m guessing I can upgrade the 1-seat plan to the advanced tier after the next cycle starts. There is no easy way to just go ahead and set up a 1-seat advanced tier from the get go or from the admin console. ---

Correct - at the moment, our understanding is that this is a special offer that Asana is testing out which is shown in the cancellation flow to domains that have one active member. ---

Was this a pop-up or did you find an organic way to get here? I know a few people who may leave because they can’t downgrade to 1-seat so I’d love to share this with them! ---

@ka_nishiyama, hmm 🤔 I’d guess the guests situation remains as it has been. I’d like to see what we could do with Tasks that are visible to people who don’t even have asana accounts. Like publicly shared documents. ---

Hi @Adam_Brougher I think this will make it easier for guest users in an organization who like Asana and want to use it exclusively for themselves to sign up. How does one access this? I use Asana as a personal task manager and am frustrated that I’m made to pay for two seats after choosing asana due to the deceptive listed price. ---

Does anyone know if this is being implemented? I am looking to move from a free tier to a paid tier for freelancing, however can still only see the 2 seat option, which is so frustrating, as someone working solo. ---

So, what’s the reality of the situation? One thing to watch out for is that if you pay on an annual basis, you likely won’t get a refund even if you reduce your usage—so be careful there. Is it necessary to set it up for monthly payments?! ---

Here is what worked in my case: I initially paid for 1 month for 2 seats. After that, I initiated a cancellation and selected the reason “other” and put “I want to use advanced and only 1 seat.” The system then prompted me with an option to downscale to 1 seat while keeping the subscription active. Please note that no refund was issued for the adjustment. Cheers
