My team has been using Asana for a few years. We use the List View for most things.
For a couple weeks now, the list view has been extremely glitchy for everyone on my team. Specifically, what happens is: when someone edits a task name in the list view, there is an intermittent issue where, after typing for a couple seconds, it reverts to the task name from a few seconds ago.
Also, when you’re in the list view and you click on a task to open up the task view in a sidebar, if you edit the task name in the task view, the edited task name often won’t update in the list view. The data saves correctly (e.g., refreshing the page will update the list view to show the correct thing), but it doesn’t update correctly in the UI, and it means that we can’t use the list view reliably.
It isn’t just the task name that’s glitchy in the list view. If you try to drag a task to reorder it, that shows the same behavior (working for a small amount of time and then reverting to how it was a few seconds ago).
This has been happening probably ~70% of the time we’ve used Asana in the last couple of weeks. It’s extremely frustrating. We haven’t figured out a reliable way to avoid it or a good workaround.
Our Asana board has probably ~300 tasks across 8 sections. I haven’t noticed if it happens in smaller boards as well. Though, if the issue is related to the number of tasks, it must be a new regression since we’ve had a lot more tasks in one board in the past. I also haven’t verified if the issue happens in views other than a list view since we mostly use the list view for everything.
