Asana Gmail Add-in Creating a Section from email

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: If you use the Asana for Gmail add-in to create a task from an email and the subject line of the email ends in a colon, the Asana for Gmail add-in creates a Section. Since you cannot convert Sections to Tasks anymore, this Section has to be deleted and the process restarted with the colon removed.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Using the Asana for Gmail tool
  2. Create a Task from an email with the subject line ending in a colon. (Do not assign this email to another person and do not add to a project when creating this task)

Browser version: Chrome 78.0.3904.97

Thank you for taking time to report this. I was also able to reproduce it on my end so I’ve gone ahead and escalated it to the Engineer Team to investigate this behaviour.
