Asana App for Gmail: How to have subtasks and dependencies set up when importing from gmail?

We receive applications through Gmail and use the Asana app to create a task. When I assign it to a certain project, is there a way for the task to automatically already have the standard subtasks, dependencies, etc. when it’s coming from Gmail? I know you can duplicate tasks but I need to retain all the info from the email but hopefully also have it automatically input the standard set of subtasks, etc. without having to recreate it.

Hi @anon50705889, welcome to the Asana Community Forum! As it stands, it’s currently not possible to automatically create subtasks from the Gmail add-on. I recommend you voting for this feature. here: Feature Request: Making Subtasks in GMail Plugin.

As a workaround, you can try to use Zapier to trigger an action when new tasks are added to the projects > a list of subtasks is added:

I hope this helps!
