Add the option to anchor the tasks to one another so when you complete a task early, it pulls all dependent tasks forward to keep the finish-to-start relationship. It does this if you move a task later in the timeline but needs to do the same if you finish early or move a task up. It takes a lot of extra work to rearrange the tasks in a project when you have someone get done early or make a change to duration of a task.
HI @Brad_Wegner, welcome to the Asana Community Forum
Thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback!
Currently, a change on a precedent task’s date will update the date of dependent task only if it causes an overlap. So, moving your precedent task’s due date forward won’t shift the dependent tasks date.
In the meantime, if you select both tasks on the Timeline, you can move both at the same time!
I hope this is something our Product Team can implement in the future
